SAP HANA Recommends app for iPhone and iPad

The SAP HANA Academy offers free tutorial videos covering everything from How To use the functions and features of SAP HANA - to – Building Solutions with SAP HANA.

An additional feature of this educational app is that it incorporates functionality that represent core goals of the course.

It provides the user with a real world application that allows them to register directly or via loyalty card number in order to view personalised recommendations. iPhone users can also create a location aware pass with their personal details and up to three stores of their choosing.

Once created, the pass will notify the user when they approach one of the defined locations. The app will then connect to the SAP HANA analytical engine and deliver personalized recommendations of items that may appeal to the user based on previous purchases and purchases made by individuals with a similar buying history.

The app also supports in-store scanning of products barcodes or QR codes in order to provide the user with product specific purchasing recommendations.
